Kingston Recruitment are looking for an Accountant to join a successful local company and head up their small accounting function. With responsibility for one member of staff and the support of external accountants for month end and year end accounting, your day to day duties will therefore include:
* Overseeing the purchase and sales ledgers
* Responsible for the payroll
* Taking accounts up to trial balance
* Cashbook maintenance
* Completing VAT returns
The ideal candidate will have worked for a small company previously and be able to take accounts up to trial balance. No formal qualifications are required but the successful candidate must be confident in their ability and be able to manage staff. Knowledge of Sage Line 50 required and any experience of the construction industry would be of distinct advantage. This is a full time permanent position, flexible hours are available.
