Our client, a successful logistics provider is looking to recruit a Commercial Manager who can take responsibility for customer relations and business development. The role will involve liaising with existing customers to ensure service levels are exceeded along with contacting prospective customers with a view to providing future services. This is not a targeted sales role but one where your knowledge of the industry will be key to the success of new business opportunities.
Key responsibilities will include:
The ideal candidate will come from a shipping/transport/logistics background and have previously worked within a sales or account management focussed role. Excellent communication skills are essential along with a valid passport and driving licence.
Working full time hours Monday to Friday with flexibility when travelling nationally or within Europe beyond COVID restrictions. The salary is negotiable depending on experience and will include a company car.
