Description

We are looking to recruit a Part Time Assistant Accountant for a company close to the city centre.  Working as part of a small accounting unit, you will have support from an external accountant and Management Accountant but be expected to carry out duties up to trial balance as well as assisting with the preparation of the monthly management accounts. 

Key responsibilities:

Maintaining the purchase ledger including inputting invoices, reconciling statements and issuing payments to suppliers

• Creating sales invoices and sending out to customers both in the UK and overseas
• Chasing outstanding payments
• Processing the payroll
• Completing VAT returns
• Handling company expenses

The candidate:

You will be experienced in accounts up to trial balance and have a knowledge of current payroll legislation.  The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of Sage Line 50 and be self-sufficient with the initiative required to working autonomously.

A part time permanent position working circa 24 hours per week with flexibility available on the days to be worked.  Hybrid working available after induction period.  Generous salary dependent upon experience and the opportunity to work for a growing company with high staff retention.
